week 3 cis 120

After reading "Being fluent with technology" I found it interesting to read the responses from those who read it as well. It is scary and interesting at the same time to see how fast technology is changing! It can be scary because it can be used for so much bad and harm. But it can also be used to do so much good and help humans further in life and work.

week 2 CIS 120

So far in this class i have learned a lot of new tips and techniques in the PowerPoint program. I know i will take this new learned knowledge of this program with me and use it in the future as a student, as well as in my work and career. I am enjoying learning these new techniques.

Second Life

Second life is a online virtual community. Some might confuse it for a game, but it is not. It is an online community that allows for individuals to engage with others who participate in the online community. When signing up for second life you create your own personal avatar, you can create this avatar to be however you like. In the second life community you are allowed to also buy, sell, trade, shop and many other activities related to the real world.
In my opinion Second life is a way for people to live an online life they may not live in reality. For some it may be a way to have a social life without having to leave the home. Honestly it is pretty neat the way the inventors of Second life have made it to be so realistic.

Introduction

I am taking CIS 120 Summer term 2015, partly because it is a requirement. Honestly i was dreading taking the class, because i was thinking it was going to be very boring. But so far only on the second day of class i am enjoying the class very much and i really like the instructor. I share a lot of interest's in the content he talks about, like artificial intelligence. The one thing i am really looking forward to learning is more about excel.
